May Fayre - Can you help?

Upper Clatford May Fayre

For around 40 years, Upper Clatford and Anna Valley residents have been organising a May Fayre on the first bank holiday Monday in May.   It’s a popular village event which attracts nearly 1000 visitors and generally raises over £4000.  Running costs are kept to a minimum and all the profit is ploughed back into local community projects and societies.

A great deal of work and effort goes into organising such an event and we are always looking for volunteers and value their contribution – however large or small.  Typically, we need help with the following:

  • Collecting bric a brac and selling raffle tickets
  • Erecting and taking down gazebos, stalls and a variety of tents
  • Running the stalls and children’s events

Planning for the May Fayre normally starts just after Christmas so if you could spare just a small portion of your time to help, we would welcome your support.

If you would like to be involved in any way, please contact Sue Stephens or Demelza Shrimpton for more information.
