USE THE PLAY PARKS AND SPORTS FIELDS RESPONSIBLY

As the Covid-19 restrictions have started to ease, it is good to see parishioners out-and-about and making good use of the open green spaces provided at the parish parks in Anna Valley, by Balksbury Bridge and on our sports fields out towards Goodworth Clatford. Unfortunately the play equipment is still out-of-bounds as I write this on 23 June 2020. Hopefully they will become available soon.

While it is good to see you please remember to keep the proscribed social distancing, refrain from anti-social or possibly illegal behaviour, and put any rubbish in the bin or take it home if the bin is full. In Balksbury Bridge playing field and at the sports field there have been ‘parties and barbeques’ with rubbish, NOx cylinders, and evidence of drug taking etc being left to behind for the council and Upper Clatford Youth Football Club (UCYFC) to clear-up.

PLEASE BE SAFE - NOT ANTI-SOCIAL.

I've been running past the sports field most mornings and have collected rubbish on many occasions. There have been several carrier bags containing barbecue foods as well as the actual barbecue. So sad when there's a bin nearby.
